Nowton Park

Distance: 7.72km (4.79 Miles)
Ascent: 65m (213ft)
Duration: 2 Hours

Today was set to be a lovely day in the spring sunshine and knowing the daffodils are out in full bloom I headed to Nowton Park to complete a walk from the Ordnance Survey Book of Outstanding Circular Walks for Suffolk.

The café at Nowton Park marking the start of todays walk.

Joining a section of the Bury to Clare Walk, a long distance trail I have done twice.

Trees have yet to turn green.

Open fields along the footpath. These fields are usually full of Rapeseed.

Now on two long distance walks, the St Edmund Way and Bury to Clare Walk. These waymarked trails will lead me to a Trig Point just by the trees in the background.

The Trig at 84m above sea level.

Crossing a field with lambs in.

Nowton Church from the front.

And from behind.

The sunshine has really come out now. Looking forward to more walking this spring!

Interesting trees in Nowton Park.

The Avenue, famous for the thousands of daffodils.
