Ling Fell

Distance: 4.95km (3.07 Miles)
Ascent: 146m (479ft)
Duration: 1 Hour 38 Minutes

I really wanted to get a summit in on this short trip to the Lakes and Ling Fell was very close by and there was a brief weather window between storms so darted up there for the amazing views!

The Corpse Road up the side of Ling Fell looking back to Sale Fell.

A view west to the coast.

The Embleton valley with Elva Hill in front.

Long distance views to Scotland.

Following the track towards the summit whilst enjoying the temporary sunshine!

Sheep on the hillside and some terribly dark clouds behind Binsey.

A wide shot of Binsey and the stormy skies.

The north western fells such as Grisedale Pike and Hopegill Head.

Skiddaw stuck in the clouds.

Stunning views west and I can see something very distant…

The Isle of Man and Snaefell.

Ling Fell summit.

A final view down as I make my way back to the car.
