I had no reals plans for today, it really was an "I know... I'll go do Ard Crags and Knott Rigg today" moment. I almost headed for Helvellyn but actually glad I didn't as the cloud never lifted high enough.

Catbells and Yewthwaite Mine.

Lambs are about!

Looking up to the end of the Newlands Valley. The depression in the centre is the top of Newlands Pass.

The deep valley of Ill Gill.

Robinson shrouded in cloud.

And a view back to Catbells and Maiden Moor.

Moss Force.

Newlands Pass leading down to Buttermere.

Knott Rigg summit.

A view to Clough Head and Catbells from Knott Rigg.

The lovely Newlands Valley.

Sunshine on the way to Ard Crags.

Very steep crags heading straight down to Keskadale Farm.

Ard Crags summit.

Causey Pike, Aikin Knott and Catbells.

Descending down from Aikin Knott to Rigg Beck and the sun was really shining now and it was actually really warm... like summer warm!
