Walton on the Naze

Distance: 7.38km (4.58 Miles)
Ascent: 25m (82ft)
Duration: 2 Hours

Today we were down on the Essex Coast to complete a circular walk around the Naze, a nature reserve under the management of Essex Wildlife Trust.

All grey along the coast here at Walton on the Naze.

The Naze Tower.

The tide was out this morning revealing eroded clay.

The Ports of Harwich and Felixstowe several miles away.

The coast on the right and vast open fields and marshes on the left.

Mudflats which were full of wading birds like Redshank.

Amazing to see boats resting on the mudflats like this.
