Stoke by Nayland

Distance: 8.15km (5.04 Miles)
Ascent: 121m (397ft)
Duration: 2 Hours 35 Minutes

Today I decided to head out and do another walk as part of the Outstanding Circular Walks Series that Ordnance Survey has produced. A local walk was Stoke By Nayland and Polstead and it really was a lovely walk!

Stoke by Nayland Church.

A view across to Polstead Church which is where I am now heading.

A lovely view over the Box Valley.

I descended down the hillside and followed the valley floor to Polstead.

Coming up to Polstead Church.

Polstead Church. I had to have a look inside as it has a fine example of Norman Brickwork (Incredibly rare) and the spire is also the oldest in Suffolk.

Norman Brick Arches.

The large pond in the centre of Polstead.

From the village centre I headed along the road and up a small hill overlooking the valley.

Heading up the hill and although it might only be 30m of ascent, the view is amazing.

A view across to Polstead Church.

The lovely view over the Box Valley.

A large lake at Scotland Street.

Scotland Hall.

Scotland Place.
