South Iceland

A trip out along the south side of Iceland, visiting the Black Sands Beach, Skogafoss Waterfall and Seljalandsfoss Waterfall.

The distant Strata Volcano of Hekla at 1491m asl.

Soon to be arriving at Skogafoss.

Probably one of the most iconic waterfalls in the whole of Iceland.

From here we went over to the Black Sands beach near Vik.

The most famous Black Sands Beach.

Distant sea stacks.

Basalt Columns and a cave to the right.

The two famous sea stacks.

Now on the beach at Vik.

Vik church.

From here we headed back towards Reykjavik and stopped at Seljalandsfoss Waterfall. Normally you can walk behind it but not in winter as its totally frozen!
