Todays initial plan was to simply head up to Stickle Tarn, but on arriving at the tarn we decided to continue up onto Pavey Ark, marking it our first Wainwright.

Clear blue skies today as we start our ascent along Stickle Ghyll towards Stickle Tarn. That’s Lingmoor Fell on the other side of Great Langdale and Windermere over to the left..

Now at Stickle Tarn and the sunshine continues. We are about level with Lingmoor Fells summit directly opposite. Wetherlam and the Coniston Fells are over to the right.
