Lowland Leader: Day 1

Distance: 16.8km (10.43 Miles)
Ascent: 377m (1237ft)
Duration: 6 Hours

As some may be aware I did my Lowland Leader training last year with the intention of taking some organised groups out for day walks. Today and tomorrow are my assessment days (I am happy to say I passed), with day one being in the North Downs, a place I have never walked before!

We started in Wrotham and headed briefly along the North Downs Way before heading towards Stansted Lodge Farm. Here the rain is really coming down making progress slow!

Following the path across the field.

A Windmill at West Kingsdown.

A historic church in Church Wood with a Saxon Tower.

Ancient Yew Tree.

Ponds in London Golf Club.

A few distant hills opening up the view a bit.

Stunning houses in this area!

A final view over the trees as we descend back to Wrotham.
