Duration: 5 Hours 5 Minutes
With the car getting an MOT it was a walk around Keswick today to kill some time, and as it turned out it was quite a long walk. As I didn't have the car to go anywhere quiet (as its holiday time) I had to walk around the 'tourist' spots and saw literally hundreds of people on the fells!
I started todays walk at Crosthwaite just outside Keswick, and just moments into the walk you get views like this up to Skiddaw.
A view from Ewe How on the way up to Latrigg. This section was very quiet with just the sound of the wind to break the silence.
Derwent Water and Keswick from the seat on Latrigg.
Blease Fell on the way down from Latrigg.
Very busy at Castlerigg Stone Circle. I cant wait for it to be covered in snow...
Tourists and Blencathra.
A grand view north to Skiddaw from Walla Crag. Latrigg to the right (where I was earlier)
Derwent Water not too far below. Again the summit was very busy with holiday makers.
Beautiful Blencathra over the summit of Walla Crag.
Waterfall at the bottom of Cat Gill.
Millennium Stone at Derwent Water.
Walla Crag.
Autumn colours at The Ings.
Friars Crag... just look at all the people there...
Derwent Water, Castle Crag and Catbells from Friars Crag.
And lastly the Derwent landing stages.
