Stickle Tarn is located on a very popular route up to the Langdale Pikes. In the summer the path leading to the waters edge can be busier than a motorway! The Tarn is a lovely place with the huge crag of Pavey Ark looming high above. People not brave enough to summit Pavey Ark can sit on the wall by the shore and pick people out walking along the skyline. Viewer with a keen eye may even see people attempting Jack's Rake.
