Middle Dodd

Distance: 4.61km (2.86 Miles)
Ascent: 474m (1555ft)
Duration: 2 Hours 28 Minutes

The purpose of this trip to the Lakes really was to finish my 2nd round of the Wainwright Fells and Middle Dodd is one of the few peaks I had left to do. The weather was set to improve throughout the day and we were going to head up Raven Crag first but changed the plan around as the cloud was so low at St Johns in the Vale.

The grand pyramid of Middle Dodd. The path goes straight up the wall to the top of the crag half way. Then the ridge is followed to the summit.

Currently following the wall. There was no wind and it was about 20C already… wow it was hard going in the heat!

Enjoying the much improved weather on the descent. As the sun was coming out the heat really started to climb!
