The weather was lovely today, but annoyingly I missed the best of it by a couple of hours. Nevermind, tomorrow's looking good and it was still an enjoyable walk up Catbells.

I started todays walk from a carpark I've not used before just near Skelgill. This photo was taken from the path up to Catbells from the car park.

A stunning view only moments into the walk - here looking towards Blencathra.

The town of Keswick beyond Derwent Isle and the Landing Stage just behind.

Maiden Moor on the descent down to the hause. I then followed the path you can see branching off to the right and down into the quarries below.

A side of Catbells I rarely see with the disused quarries along Yewthwaite Gill.

The bracken is really turning brown now, not long and there'll be snow on the fells!
