Callow Hill

Distance: 9.2km (5.71 Miles)
Ascent: 350m (1148ft)
Duration: 2 Hours 25 Minutes

The second walk of today took me up a steep path to the top of Callow Hill alongside the massive quarry.

Callow Hill to the left of the photo which was taken from the Strawberry Line. I will be walking down the dip between the hills a bit later on.

The cycle path along the Strawberry Line.

Cheddar Reservoir.

A beacon beyond Nyland Hill and Cheddar Reservoir. Is it Glastonbury Tor?

The Limestone Quarry on Callow Hill - it was huge!

It must have been about 100m deep at least!

Now walking along The Perch on Shipham Hill and the view opens up ot the reservoir. Just before taking this shot there was a huge Buzzard sitting in the tree and it flew off before I could get the camera ready.

A final shot of Cheddar Reservoir before entering the trees which takes me all the way back to Cheddar.
