Abberton Reservoir

Today the weather was going to be lovely and sunny so we decided to meet up with a few friends and take a short stroll around the Essex Wildlife Trust reserve of Abberton Reservoir. There was so much wildlife around including 6 Great White Egrets and we also spotted a Marsh Harrier.

At the first hide we spotted this wading bird on the shoreline. We think it might be a Ruff.

One of the Great White Egrets next to a Cormorant.

One of many Lapwings around the reserve.

A little Pied Wagtail just towards the end of the day.
