Foxes Tarn Route is the most popular path up to Sca Fell from Scafell Pike. During the summer months it will be unlikely for you to enjoy this rocky ascent alone! The route is solid with excellent foot and hand holds and well within the capabilities of the average fell walker. The scramble ends at the bottom of a huge amphitheater with the tiny Foxes Tarn at the base.
