Low Water

Elevation: 547m (1795ft)
Depth: 46ft
Location: The Old Man of Coniston

This natural tarn is surround by beautiful rocky scenery, thanks to the north face of Coniston Old Man. It was used at one time to supply power and water to the copper mines in the valley below. It once had a dam at the outflow to enlarge the tarn, but has since been destroyed and reverted back to its natural size.
