Windermere is the largest natural lake in England stretching from Central Lakeland almost as far as Morcambe Bay to the south (10.5 Miles!). There are many viewing points down to the lake, the best ones being from Orrest Head and Wansfell. Other beautiful locations include Bowness and Waterhead near Ambleside.
